Cobra, Creamy Delight post close win
in Fil-Sino Asia Brewery basketball tilt

Cobra Energy Drink got away with an 89-88 victory against Colt 45, while Creamy Delight Pasteurized Yogurt outscored Tanduay Ice in overtime, 98-96, in the recent match-up of the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Inc. Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang gym.

Colt 45 was way ahead in the first half, posting a 16-point lead at halftime time, 46-30, with Chibun Uy scoring nine points and teammates Marc Lo and Robbie Jalando-on delivering seven points each.

But Cobra rallied in the third quarter and stunned Colt 45 with a 33-13 run to to grab the lead at 63-57 behind Rodel Canino’s nine points and the combined 15-point output from Richard Co, Jan Jan Young and Mark Binguan.

MassKara bowlfest title

Top players from duckpin bowling clubs in the country will arrive in Bacolod City starting today for the October 8 -12 Masskara National Open Invitational Duckpin Bowling Championship at the at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

The tournament hosted by the Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc., is sanctioned by the Philippine Duckpin Bowling Council and offers P.2 million in cash prizes and trophies for the top three winners in the team and individual single competition, and the tournament record holders.

Petron advances to PBA finals

MANILA – Petron Blaze came out blazing in the second half en route to a convincing 110-89 victory against defending champion Rain or Shine in Game 4 of the semifinals to clinch the remaining finals slot of the PBA Governor’s Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
