Mall guard turns
celeb on Internet

A Negrense security guard is getting attention over the Internet because he greets customers at the mall where he is detailed with a British accent.

The video of Estrelito Corsonada, 32, of Sagay City, Negros Occidental, who is employed by the Stallion Security agency while greeting customers with a British accent has received many views and likes from Facebook viewers and has also has had numerous hits on YouTube.

"I only want to make the customers happy, I did not expect that it would gain much attention", Corsonada, a father of two, told the DAILY STAR yesterday.

"I was unaware that videos of me had been posted on the Internet and shown on national television. It surprised me when someone approached me for my autograph saying she saw me on TV", he said.

Asked how he acquired his British accent, Corsonada said he used to work as a security guard for the Eperformax call center where they were obliged to speak in English.

A graduate of Industrial electronics and a security guard for ten years, Corsonada said he is proud that his efforts at providing good customer service has been recognized.

To make him a role model for his fellow security guards, the management of the Stallion Security Agency makes him speak at their seminars on customer relations.

Jorae Unson, security officer of Robinson's Mall, said Corsonada has been with them for two years now.

Unson said they encourage other security guards to emulate the good customer service of Corsonada.*APN
