anti-pork rally

“Abolish pork barrel!”

This was the repeated call of about 5,000 Church workers, students, teachers, the faithful of the three dioceses in Negros Occidental and members of militant organizations at the protest against the controversial Priority Development Assistance Fund at the Bacolod City Public Plaza at about 1 p.m. yesterday that capped their march.

Protesters from the dioceses of Kabankalan, San Carlos and Bacolod braved the rain and marched from the Negros Occidental Capitol Lagoon Park, Lupit Church and West Negros University, and later gathered at the public plaza where they lambasted the government officials involved in the alleged P10-billion scam.moremoremore
