MVP guest at
75th ‘Charter Day'

Manuel V. Pangilinan will be Bacolod City's guest of honor during the 75 th  Diamond Celebration of its Cityhood Charter tomorrow and will be officially made an adopted son by Mayor Monico Puentevella, a press release from City Hall said.

MVP will address the people of Bacolod during the anniversary program at the Bacolod City Public Plaza at 5 p.m. following the Charter Day parade   which will start at 1 p.m.

With Pangilinan will be popular showbiz personalities Sharon Cuneta, Aga Mulach and Ogie Alcasid, the press release said.

The “Pamukaw sa Barangay” will start at 5 a.m. Saturday followed by the “Misa ng Bayan” at the San Sebastian Cathedral at 8 a.m.

After the mass, the biggest boodle breakfast for the people of Bacolod will be held 9 a.m. at the Bacolod City Public Plaza, the release said.

Simultaneous event “ One Earth, One Smile: Celebrating Environmental and Cultural Diversity” will be held 8 a.m. at the Negros Farmers Weekend Market; and the whole day Garden Show by the Negros Occidental Garden Club continues from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at SM City covered parking lot.

The Charter Day Parade will start at 1 p.m., while the MassKara Badminton Invitational games will be held in Po Pohang Badminton Center; praise and worship "Ablaze: Shine the Light Upon Bacolod for Jesus” continues at 6 p.m., South Capitol Road, the press release said.

In the evening, a grand reunion of all former government officials will be held at the BGC and the National Dancesport Competition will be held 7 p.m. at the Pavillon Convention Center, it said.

The Electric MassKara Dance Parade will be at 9 p.m. and the MassKaraland party continues until late in the evening.*
