Giant Killer No. 6 Colt 45 completed its magical run by ruling the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Inc. Inter-color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

After almost not making it to the quarterfinals, Colt 45 peaked at the right time and routed top seed Absolute Water, 87-70, in the titular showdown last Wednesday.

Marc Lo banged in nine points in the second quarter as Colt 45 extended the lead to 47-30 at the break.

Colt 45 delivered its lowest output in the third quarter with 15 points, but Absolute failed to take advantage as they can only managed 11 points to face a 62-41 deficit going to the fourth quarter.

The problem of Absolute compounded when top Slotman Arnol Laureño forced to play with a leg injury, limiting his production to four points in the third quarter. He did not play in the 4th quarter.

But Absolute made a major move in the fourth quarter, sinking nine triples with Michael Ang accounting for four, while Yap and Keith Banzon hit two treys each.

Not to be outdone, Colt 45 countered with high percentage shots in the post led by Chibon Uy and Derek Sibug to complete the improbable run to the championship.
