NU, Ateneo cagers crush rivals,
USLS, DLSU spikers march on

Even without their star player Bobby Ray Parks Jr., defending champion National University Bulldogs remain a force to reckon with as they crushed Foundation University, 101-48, while the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles (Team A) tamed Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, 74-56, in men’s basketball of the 18th FilOil-University Games at the St. La Salle Coliseum yesterday.

The Bulldogs proved to be too much for FU as they surged to a 19-4 first quarter lead en route to a 47-17 halftime dominance despite fielding their second stringers on the starting lineup.

Also displaying their highly-competitive brand of play was last year’s runner-up Ateneo Blue Eagles Team A, with Kieffer Ravena and Jerie Pingoy dazzling the crowd at the Coliseum with their moves.
