NGCP assures
power supply for polls

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines assures enough power supply in today's nationwide barangay elections.

NGCP's Cynthia Alabanza said in a government press release that the firm is on Red Alert status to make sure that power is available to all distribution utilities and the transmission lines are secured.

Alabanza said the overall command center as well as the regional command centers nationwide, are on heightened alert to provide real time monitoring to the grid system and make sure that power will be supplied from the sources to the distribution utilities and the barangay polling centers.

Regional control centers are activated and NGPC personnel will be on 24 hour duty or until the barangay election is done, to restore damaged facility if ever there are any disturbances, she said.*
