The Dumaguete Adventure Marathon will be held November 10, and organizers promise a different adventure to sport runners, who are tired of running in city roads.

The 42-kilometer marathon will take runners to the scenic mountainous terrain surrounding Dumaguete, Aparicio Mequi, former chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission, and now director of the Institute of Youth Sports for Peace at Foundation University, said Saturday.

The run will start 4:30 a.m. at the Dumaguete Business Park in Barangay Calindagan, and is being held to celebrate the National Year of Rice.
