The Bacolod City government has issued special permits to flower vendors at the Bacolod City Public Plaza from October 30 to November 1.
Evelynda Gerogalin, Lincensing Officer lll, said yesterday that the flower vendors were charged P200 per stall and will be allowed to sell at the plaza along San Juan, Gatuslao and Gonzaga streets. A resolution allows them to sell flowers at the plaza during All Saints Day and All Souls Day, she said.
She, however, said she does not have the total number of flower vendors because it is executive assistant Rocky Puentevella who is in charge of that.
Most of the flower vendors secured permits last year and this is the basis for issuing them special permits this year. New applicants have to submit a request letter to their office to be approved by the Mayor's Office, she said.
Meanwhile, Gerogalin said the employees of the Permits and Licensing Division will wear Halloween costumes and have a small celebration at lunchtime today.
They have also decorated their office with spider webs, pumpkins and other creatures associated with Halloween.*CGS
