MANILA - In a down to the wire finish, the De La Salle University Green Archers defeated the University of the East Red Warriors, 75-65, in overtime in their second round Showdown to join the Far Eastern University Tamaraws in second spot in the UAAP Standings at the SMART Araneta Coliseum yesterday.

Jason Perkins spearheaded the Green Archers after flirting with a double double with 22 points and 9 rebounds while Jeron Teng also gave them a lift with 17 points and seven rebounds.

Jeron Teng scored 9 of his 17 points in Overtime as he provided some late game baskets to inflict damage on the Warriors.

Almond Vosotros started the overtime with a cold blooded trey to give the Lasallians a three point lead, 59-56, with 4:33 minutes remaining in the extra period.

DLSU took the game out of reach after Arnold Van Opstal's lay up that increased their lead to seven,66-59 with less than two minutes left in the game.

Jeron Teng powered his way after scoring DLSU's next seven points to give the Archers an 11 point cushion, 73-62, en route to an easy win.

Charles Mammie came back with a vengeance with 11 points and 20 rebounds but it wasn't enough to salvage the victory. The Warriors fell to 5-6 with this loss.*PNA
