Summit posts 3rd win in
Fil-Sino basketball

Summit Mineral Water rolled to its third victory by routing Creamy Delight Pasteurized Yogurt, 96-69, while Colt 45 scored a 79-75 win over Tanduay Black in the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Inc. Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym, Monday night.

A 50-31 lead at halftime for Summit underscored the one-sided match-up in the first two quarters as seven Summit players scored with Kieron Tan and Daniel Chiu delivering eight points each.

Creamy Yogurt showed some life in the third quarter behind the trio of RB Chua, Ralph Ong and Clarence Quingco, who pooled their efforts to cut Summit’s lead at 64-56.

Xtreem Trail Riders to
hold bloodletting

The Xtreem Trail Riders Association-Negros will hold a bloodletting activity of September 14 at PAGCOR Golden Field, Commercial Complex in Bacolod City, a press release from the group said.

The activity is part of the outreach program of the group whose members are motorcycle enthusiasts from different areas of the province.

Aside from promoting responsible motorcycle driving and strict observance of safety rules, the group is also knows for its socio-civic activities undertaken mostly in poorest communities of Negros, its press release said.

Retro bowlers bag NSL crown

Retro Bowlers beat Cecil Silverio ASSFBI 347-338, to capture the championship in the 2013 NSL-organized Non-rated Trio Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The champion team, composed of Iran Pielago, Reymund Lopez, Cero Cordova, Lyndon Reyes, and Emphraim Fadollome Jr., had twice-to-beat advantage after topping the elimination.

He bagged the title and the top prize after a thrilling final match against ASSFBI team composed of Romulo Ramos, Cesar Sumaylo, and Orly Guiljon.
