NOPSSCEA men's basketball
kicks off today at WNU Gym

Defending champion West Negros University Mustangs start their bid for a 15 th straight NOPSSCEA men's basketball championship against Colegio San Agustin Bacolod Eagles today as competition starts at the WNU Gym.

The Mustangs-Eagles match-up is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. after the 2 p.m. game between last year's runner-up University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and the resurging University of St. La Salle Stingers.

Spicing up things in this year's edition of collegiate basketball is the re-entry of the Visayan Maritime Academy-Global, whose lineup of players are out to give the top four teams a good fight.

NOHS remains at
No. 1in bowlfest

The Negros Occidental High School pinbusters widened their lead in the Inter-school Alumni Fellowship Bowling Tournament 2013 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The NOHS team headed by Romel Jover, sits on top with 8,209 pinfalls, 399 pins ahead second placer Bacolod City National High School Batch 89 Boysen anchored by Nonoy Hulguin.
