Top 3 teams to dispute
Newsboy bowlfest title

The championship of the 3rd Newsboy Double Open Bowling Tournament will be held tonight at the Lopue’s East Bowling Centre in Bacolod City where the top three teams with the highest score will be declared winners.

The top seed will get P5,000, and the second and third placers P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.

The MDM Team composed of Melot “D Silencer” Alimon, Dan Corcelles and Mae Memoracion is on top with a total score of 1,388 points. JJ Squad and 78 Stars are second and third with 1,368 and 1,365.

Opening day leader Philippine Star is now fourth with 1,363 followed by Davies I with 1,359.

DAILY STAR had 1,342; Batch ’85, 1,337; Davies II, 1,323; SPM Team, 1,280; Knight Riders, 1,265; Gwapings II, 1,259; Gwapings I, 1,241; Dos Amigos, 1,240; Philippine Daily Inquirer, 1,236; GNA, 1,228; DAILY STAR II, 1,221; Bagol Team, 1,199; SBS, 1,172; and 4 J’s Team, 1,45.

Phil. Star has the tournament’s record in highest single and triple with 276 and 715. Games will start at 6 p.m.

The 2nd NSL Non-rated Trio Bowling Spectacle will start tomorrow at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.*HLG
