12 squads set to join
BCAN 35U tourney

Twelve teams will be seeing action when the 35-Up Open Inter Office Basketball Tournament organized by Basketball Coaches Association of Negros opens on September 14 at Negros Occidental Multi Purpose Activity Center, a press release from BCAN said.

CENECO 1 and CENECO 2 head the list of the participating teams with Handyman, Land Bank of the Philippines, Macro and Merci-Pasalubong also confirming their entries.

Completing the 12-team cast are Nepan (Negros-Panay), NGC (New Government Center), Province of Negros Occidental, SYL, Teletech and University of St. La Salle Faculty and Staff and Consuelo Supermart, the press release said.

Tournament format according to BCAN president Bobby Tee is single round robin elimination for two brackets. Top three from each group will move into the quarterfinal with the winners advancing to the semifinals and the championship.*
