BUS G-Sharp Cup

Teams vying for the title in the Basketball Unified Sports Group Sharp Cup Inter-Color Tournament in Bacolod City have started submitting their lineups to the organizers, a press release from BUS G said.

Representatives from the participating teams joined BUS G adviser Bing Soyao in a meeting recently to finalize the details of the tournament.

To see action are teams Sanyo, Panasonic, Condura and Syntax, with the games to be played on Mondays and Wednesdays, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the BUS G Huskies new homecourt at the JGC Gym at Goldenfields Commercial Complex.

Sanyo will be bannered by Edgar Basco,  Hermi Derwill, Kokoy Fuentebella, Matt Rayo, Ringo Lacanilao, Nene Sibaya, Rommel Hofilena, Arturo Tomaro, Rene Antones, Sebastian Antones, Nonoy Cordova, Garry Garcia, Melvin Baclay and John Odango.

Panasonic includes Boboy Antones,  Bandoy Aliermo, Rey de Guzman, Felipe Tumamot, Dagol Flores, Biboy Java, Ed Cruz, Toto Olivares, Wennie Antones, Allan Antones, Jessie Lintoreo, Steve Leonidas, Ireneo Morales  and Jovito Yasay.

Condura, skippered by Vic Duenas, has Nene Lapore, Toto Plagata, Rex Bayer, Tanker Habaradas, Ariel Tornilla, Sammy Dave Belangel, Dagol Benedicto, Armando Soberano, Raymundo Sapa, Stephen Yee, Buddy Occeno, Zikky Guillem and Henry Doble.

Syntax is composed of Sammy Penado, Mariano Marcelino, Moises Padilla, Angelito Macayan, Enrique Tabaque, Amit Teruel, Bert Celis, Rigor Bayer, Romelo Herrera, Johann Belandres, Ding Hechanova, Meljune Guilhon, Sandro Sales and Benjamin Alvarez.

Format is double round robin and the team with no defeat will be declared the champion.  Double and triple ties will be resolved by FIBA quotient system.  Defaulting team will be charged with referees fees, the press release said.*
