KBP accreditation
examinations held

The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas in Negros Oriental administered an accreditation examination to 47 new broadcasters Sept. 21 at the Metro Dumaguete College in the city.

KBP national examining officer Ped Cablaida said it is pursuant to the Broadcast Code of the Philippines, that was discussed by KBP Cebu chapter president Marlon Baula.

The examination constitutes only 50 percent of the accreditation, and the remaining percentage will be based on the evaluation of the station managers.

Local KBP chapter head, Michael Palma, said that the Board has agreed that any announcer who violates the Broadcast Code may be suspended by the station manager and no other station will receive or hire the erring broadcaster “as a gesture of mutual respect to management decision”.*RG
