Fan succumbs to stroke

A town government market collector excitedly waiting for the live telecast of the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley fight at the Wilkinson Social Court in EB Magalona town in Negros Occidental, succumbed to a massive stroke, and died at about 11 a.m. Sunday.

Mayor David Lacson said yesterday that Charito Lorio, 64, of Brgy. 1 poblacion was then watching an undercard fight at the social court.

Lorio was declared dead on arrival at the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

A widower with four children, he was set to retire in December, Lacson said.

Cyrus Lorio, his son, said his father did not show any signs of illness and had even gone jogging the day before.*CPG
