2 ‘peddlers’ arrested
in buy-busts

Two alleged illegal drug peddlers were nabbed and suspected shabu estimated at P75,000 were seized in Dumaguete City and Sibulan, Negros Oriental, Wednesday.

Suspect William Diongco was arrested in a buy-bust operation at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Poblacion Sibulan, by joint elements of the Philippine National Police Special Operations Group/Provincial Intelligence Bureau, led by Senior Insp. Jul Mohammad Jamiri, and the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations Special Operations Task Group, headed by Senior Insp. Ryan Jay Orapa.

Seized from Diongco were nine pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, worth P35,400, the P500 marked money, two bamboo clips, one needle, three disposable lighters, two bundles of empty transparent plastic sachets, a pair of scissors, straw, rolled tin foil and two P100 bills, Orapa said.

Agustina Megio Malijidios, alias Tina, 46, of Barangay Looc in Dumaguete, was arrested also in a buy-bust operation in Zone 4 of the barangay, by the SOG/PIB and PAIDSOTG, in coordination with the Dumaguete City police, and the provincial Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Recovered from her were 25 pieces of transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, worth P40,000, and two P100 bills, Orapa also said.*JFP/JG
