dismissal of raps sought
BY CARLA GOMEZ
Three of the respondents in the complaint for estafa allegedly involving millions of pesos invested for the recovery of “trillions of dollars” from the estate of a deceased Negrense, have filed a motion for the inhibition of the entire Office of the City Prosecutor of Bacolod City.
Respondents Sylvia Asparen, Clara Moncada Pabon and Mauricio Ulep are asking that the case instead be sent to the Department of Justice in Manila for resolution by an impartial tribunal.
Assistant Bacolod City Prosecutor Maritess Gumahin, who is handling the case, said she hopes to come up with a resolution on the matter today.
