‘Big-time pusher’ nabbed
with P100,000 in ‘shabu’

A suspected big-time drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation that bagged two large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, worth about P100,000at the Cadawinonan Housing Project in Barangay Cadawinonan, Dumaguete City, at around 1:10 p.m. yesterday.
Suspect Rommel Gumera Casuco, “alias Abay”, 22, married, of Block 2, Lot 2, Cadawinonan Housing, was nabbed when he allegedly soldsuspected shabu to an undercover agent.
Insp. Ryan Jay Orapa, chief of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, said the suspected shabu is believed part of a large shipment that arrived from Muntinlupa Sunday.
New 302nd IB commander
to assume post

Colonel Allan Martin will replace Brig. Gen. Francisco Patrimonio as commander of the 302nd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army, based in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, in the turnover of command rites tomorrow.
Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Baladad, 3rd Infantry Division chief, will be the guest of honor and speaker during the turnover at the 302nd IB headquarters in Palanas, Tanjay, Maj. Cresenciano Gargar of the 302nd IB, said.
Patrimonio, who served the brigade since July 18, 2011, will be assigned as assistant division commander of the 3ID, based in Jamindan, Capiz.
