Munsterific stops Decada in
Trinity alumni cagefest

Munsterific pulled off a 72-68 win against defending champion Decada X, in the opening game of the 2nd Trinity Alumni Basketball Cup at the Trinity Christian School, recently.

Peter Paul Ortaliz nailed 8 points and Enrique Chua Jr. added five markers to lead defending titlist Decada’s 14-10 opening quarter lead as Priljolen Gacho scored a pair of triples to anchor Munsterific’s offense.

Decada continued to control the game in the second quarter with Jose Miguel Montinola dropping 13 points of the team’s 17-point as the defending champs enjoyed a 31-20 halftime lead.

Munsterific rallied in the third canto with 22 points while Pao-Pao Lim carried Decada with 10 points to keep the lead, 48-42 entering the final quarter.

Munsterific finally grabbed the lead in the fourth quarter with a 30-18 run to win the game.

The tournament is supervised by commissioner Renato Bravo with the support of TCS Principal Esther Jane Uy.*
