The Bacolod City Prosecutor's Office has dismissed a complaint for qualified theft through falsification of a commercial document filed by a Bacolod businessman against three employees of the Bank of the Philippines Islands.
Dismissed was the complaint filed by businessman Joe Marie Sy against BPI Libertad Branch Bacolod City manager Mario Aguirre, assistant manager Chatalina Milagros Luciano and teller Jose Erwin Mori for insufficiency of evidence to hold them criminally liable for allowing the cashing a P2 million BPI check in the name of Sy on Jan. 2, 2010.
The resolution, signed by Bacolod Deputy City Prosecutor Emmanuel Lope Lupisan, and approved by City Prosecutor Armando Abanado, said the dismissal was without prejudice to its refilling and presentation of additional evidence.
