Kuya J opens at SM City

Kuya J owned and operated by I-Kitchen opened its ninth branch at the ground floor of SM City Bacolod yesterday.

Pinky Abaño, Kuya J’ project manager for Visayas and Mindanao, said they are also opening two other branches in the Western Visayas to be located in Boracay Island and in Iloilo.

Abaño said Kuya J also aims to invade the Mindanao market as part of its expansion. She said they hope to establish 100 more additional branches by the end of this year.

As of now, Kuya J has branches at SM Sta. Mesa, SM BF Paranaque, SM Marikina, SM Novaliches, SM Pasig, SM Cebu, SM Consolacion and Escario Street.

Kuya J’s signature dishes include Crispy Pata, Grilled Scallops, Lumpia Presko, Crispy Catfish and Tablea Coffee Flan.

Kuya J’s brand ambassadors, Phil and James Younghusband, and Bacolod Mayor Monico Puentevella led the inauguration of the restaurant yesterday.*APN
