Motion for reconsideration
lacks merit - Sandigan
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
The Sandiganbayan Fourth Division yesterday denied for the second time the request of Bacolod Mayor Monico Puentevella to travel abroad to attend a football congress in Switzerland.
The SB denied for lack of merit the urgent motion for reconsideration filed by Puentevella asking the court to set aside its resolution of May 22 denying his request.
Puentevella's motion dated May 18 had earlier been denied by the Sandiganbayan, pointing out that, despite his manifestation that “he will request the Department of Interior and Local Government for authority to travel to Zurich, Switzerland and New York City, USA, there is no record that he filed such request, or that the DILG granted him the authority to travel abroad.”
